NDIS Positive Behaviour Support in Sydney

Our specialist behaviour support practitioners provide Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), Behaviour Support Plans (BSP), and training for families and staff. We focus on reducing restrictive practices and building independence and wellbeing for NDIS participants across Sydney.

Behaviour Support Services

Dawnability provides NDIS Positive Behaviour Support from our Wiley Park practice, working with children, young people and adults across Canterbury-Bankstown and South-West Sydney, including Punchbowl, Lakemba, Bankstown, Belmore, Campsie and Greenacre. Our specialist behaviour support practitioners work within a psychologist-led team, using evidence-based, trauma-aware and person-centred approaches that focus on understanding each person, building skills and improving everyday life. Behaviour support is generally funded through the Improved Relationships (capacity building) budget in an NDIS plan. Arabic-speaking staff are available to support communication and cultural understanding.

Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)

A thorough assessment to understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern, identify triggers, and inform an effective, person-centred support plan.

Behaviour Support Plans (BSP)

Practical, person-centred plans that build skills and positive routines, developed with participants, families, and support teams and reviewed as needs change.

Training for Families and Staff

Hands-on training that equips families, carers, and support staff to implement behaviour support strategies consistently and confidently.

Reducing Restrictive Practices

We work to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices, supporting participants with complex needs to build independence, wellbeing, and safer everyday routines.
